Emma Bishop

Emma has danced since the age of 3 in a local dance school in Allesley Village. She danced in annual shows, as well as performing in community events and competitions. Emma has trained in all forms of dance, but has a particular love for tap.

When she was 15, Emma became an assistant teacher, helping to lead dance classes for a variety of ages in many different styles. At 17, she trained as a teaching assistant in a primary school, and went on to work in primary education for over 2 and a half years, continuing to teach dance on weekends.

Emma still works with children, but is now a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant for the NHS. She leads therapy sessions with children of all ages and abilities, in mainstream, specialist and pre-schools. She loves her job and feels like she makes a difference in the lives of the children she works with every day.

Emma is so excited to be an assistant teacher at Shottery School of Dance, after working and training with Izzy for over 3 years prior to her founding the school. She can't wait to help train the next generation of performers!

With over 5 years experience working with children, Emma is fully trained in child protection and safeguarding, and holds both a Level 3 First Aid qualification and an enhanced DBS check.
